The Funky Wordsmyths Journal

The Funky Wordsmyths Journal is the "official bootleg" of the award-winning spoken word band, The Funky Wordsmyths. The group achieved much notoriety in the 1990s including starring in three "talent-driven" national television and radio commercials. The podcast chronicles the evolution of the band's unique brand of "hard hitting' black poetry n muzik" through archival live recordings, unreleased studio recordings, and interviews of featured artists, ensemble members and loyal followers hosted by the group’s founder, artistic director and lead poet Keith M. Kelley.
